Heat-conducting properties of thermobarically-sintered detonation nanodiamond

The research was conducted to study the thermal conductivity of detonation nanodiamonds-based composites. Composite nanodiamond materials were obtained in course thermobaric sintering at press-free high-pressure apparatus (BARS) under 5 GPa and temperatures within range 1100 –1500°С. It ascertained that unlike diamond monocrystals with their reaching up 2100 W / (mK), a composite is considerably lower does not go beyond 18 (mK). Specifically, temperature dependence coefficient anomalous as compared similar monocrystals. grows compliance rising temperature, whereas it shows practically no changes 50 – 300°С. Such thermal-conductivity apparently related features phonon spectrum This feature stipulated by nanocrystals on size, represented set modes wave vector 0 < q <1 L, i.e., size nanocrystal 4.5 nm alleged limit excitation harmonics during heating, opposed macroscopic crystals demonstrate higher-frequency growing.
